PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy choices should be as clear as the route.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Metroline Korea processes when you use the website, why it is processed, and the choices available to you. It applies to this website. It does not govern external websites that you choose to open.

01

Information you provide

You may enter origin and destination station names to calculate a route. These values are used to return the requested page and may appear in its URL. Do not put sensitive personal information into station fields.

If you contact us, we receive the information you send, such as your email address, message, and any links or evidence included with a correction or privacy request. We use it to respond and maintain the service.

02

Information we do not ask for

Metroline Korea does not currently offer user accounts, profiles, saved-trip histories, payment processing, or background location tracking. You can use the planner, station explorer, and guides without registering or submitting your identity.

03

Technical information

Like most websites, the hosting service may process standard request information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, referring page, browser or device information, response status, and diagnostic logs. These records may be used for reliability, security, abuse prevention, and aggregate measurement.

04

Advertising and Google

When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other device identifiers to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads; prevent fraud and abuse; and improve their services. Google’s advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites.

Where required, a consent message will ask about advertising choices before personalized advertising storage or processing is used. You can revisit those choices using the Privacy and cookie settings link in the footer. You can also manage Google ad personalization through Google’s ad settings.

05

External services

Tourism requests may be supplied by the Korea Tourism Organization, and geographic maps use OpenStreetMap tiles and attribution. Links can also take you to public-data publishers, transit operators, venues, or map services. Those organizations process information under their own privacy policies when your browser connects to them.

06

Purposes, retention, and sharing

We process information to provide requested routes and pages, respond to messages, diagnose failures, secure the service, understand aggregate use, comply with law, and—when enabled—fund the site through advertising.

We retain contact correspondence and server records only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, legal obligations, security, and dispute handling. Service providers may process limited information on our behalf, and information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.

07

Your choices and rights

You can decline non-essential advertising choices where the consent message offers that option, change cookie settings, block or delete browser storage, and avoid sending optional contact information. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we control.

Use the Contact page for a privacy request. We may need enough information to verify the request.

08

Children, security, and international processing

The service is a general travel resource and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit personal information.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service is completely secure. Providers involved in hosting, analytics, advertising, or content delivery may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
